How Sound Waves are Amplified

What sound waves are and how they’re picked up is through vibrations in the atmosphere. When these vibrations move, they move away air particles and change the pressure and when it finally reaches ones ear, it is translated by our brains into electric signals and interpreted as sounds. When these sound waves travel through an amplifier, the sound wave changes and in turn becomes louder. How this works is by using a microphone to capture a sound and turn it into an electric signal.  Next an amplifier takes the small electrical signal and adds more energy to create an even larger signal. The signal is then goes through a loud speaker and goes through the atmosphere in much larger vibrations. The larger the vibrations created, when they're picked up by ones ear, the louder the it will end up sounding.
